Preggo Style: The Wrap Dress

Now that we’ve announced our exciting pregnancy, I’m thrilled to start sharing some maternity-related posts.  Don’t worry, I won’t bombard you with all things baby — that is now part of who I am going to be, but not the whole me.

However, I am looking forward to sharing our adventure towards parenthood starting with a fun fashion focused post 😉

I spent last weekend sorting through and boxing up all of the items in my closet that were seasonal,  no longer fit, or that will definitely not fit in the coming weeks.  Turns out that was 90% of my wardrobe.

Frustratingly, I’m in that phase where my own clothes don’t fit, but store brand maternity clothes don’t really fit me either.

I have skinny legs, a big belly and HUGE boobs, lol.  The ratios of maternity jeans/tops do NOT work on this body right now.

Well, not all pregnancy clothes are made equal. That’s part of the reason I am so into dresses, and 100% of the reason why pretty wrap dresses are my main love right now.

Enter, this beautiful printed dress from trendy online boutique, Pink Blush.  Shopping online for maternity clothes kind of freaked me out at first (not being able to try stuff on first) but I have already spent wayyyy too much time on the Pink Blush website, fawning over their selection of cute maternity clothes that I need want to own.  The size chart made it easy to select the proper fit, and the return policy is straightforward – just in case you need to exchange for a different size.

The 3 main reasons I love a good wrap dress are:

  1. They will ALWAYS cover up the girls
  2. Adjustable for my rapidly growing belly
  3. 3/4 sleeves make a perfection summer to fall transition piece

If you don’t have kids, wrap dresses work wonders for ANY body. If you do have kids, what was your go-to maternity piece for fall? Did you ever dabble in wrap dresses?

Share with me in the comments!

LOL, that’s amazing. Thank you 🙂 Dresses are just sooo easy as my legs are too skinny for the large pants that my belly and butt need right now. I will wear these wraps as long as I possibly can!

Isn’t amazing how wrap dresses look good on everyone! I love the fabric. Tropical enough for a trip yet dark enough to be perfect for fall. I didn’t see what the fabric was. Jersey??

I know!! The fabric on this one is more stretchy than jersey – though on like that, too! I will have to find the tag to check 🙂

Girl I love wrap dresses! You are correct that they’re perfect for all shapes and sizes (I think that’s why I love them so). You look amazing by the way!
