Switching Up the Caffeine Routine {Giveaway}

So, I’m pretty sure I’m in caffeine withdrawal. I didn’t have a cup of coffee this morning for the first time in at least 2 weeks and my head is POUNDING. Like jack-hammer in your face kind of pounding.  I’m also super jittery and twitchy.  While I’m sure Web MD could connect those things to a host of ungodly diseases, I’m going to stick with the idea that it’s related to my increased consumption of caffeine in the last two weeks (usually I’m one small cup a day, recently have been 2 or 3 large per day, yikes) and my untimely lack of a coffee this morning – solely because I’m out of almond milk, lol.

*Note: I’m actually not allowed to visit Web MD. My  family imposed a ban due to a acute mild case of internet paranoia. More on that another time.

That being said, I’ve decided to do an impromptu coffee cleanse.  *gasp*

Just over a month ago I got super sick and wasn’t able to eat or drink properly for nearly a week.  During that week I underwent an involuntary coffee detox. It was unpleasant at best. As I begin to regain my appetite, the one thing that I didn’t have a taste for was coffee. This made me sad, because I love coffee, but my body and my bank account were thrilled.  One day after not having coffee for two weeks I decided to have a cup – McDonald’s no less, which is considered coffee crack by me and my best friend – and my body WAS. ON. FIRE.

Like, whoa caffeine. Settle down. The next day, I marched directly into my closest David’s Tea and asked for some magic in a can to ease the transition.
2

The amount of tea I have in my house at any given time is kind of silly.  I think I have 10 partial cans/tins/bags/boxes going right now. Two of my cupboard staples are the Hot Lips Green Tea, and the Gold Rush White Tea which has just recently been discontinued. I went store to store to buy as much as I could, but no amount is enough when it’s your fave and no longer available 🙁

3

Anyhoo, I’m going to stay off of coffee for one week and replace my morning joe with a cup of tea.  Follow along with me and one lucky person will get to have some tea on me if they win my current contest!

4

The giveaway ends in one week, so hurry up and enter! I will be changing up some of the entry actions midway through so you will have some extra chances to win 🙂  Tell me in the comments if you are a tea drinker and which tea is your go-to.

    I usually drink black teas, not too big of a coffee drinker. You can usually see me frequent a David’s Tea, Teavana or even the grocery store. I have a whole cupboard stocked with it! There’s two teas that top my list (from David’s Tea)….Sleigh ride (with hints of pineapple) and Dark Chocolate Delight (for those black tea mornings).

      Mmmm dark chocolate delight sounds awesome. There is one Teavana tea that i’m obsessed with but they only have at Christmas, I think it’s white chocolate peppermint. Either way, it’s nice to have a choice of teas from black to herbal!

    I love DavidsTea! I drink several cups of English Breakfast during the day and evening (what would I do without my tea?) but love to change it up from time to time with some of DavidsTea’s organic raspberry jam tea or lemon poundcake tea. So many fun flavours!

    I love smooth coffee, but I am CRAZY about tea. Going to Davids Tea is like a trip to a candy store as a little girl, but so much better. The teas all have so many healthy properties, not to mention the most amazing aromas and flavors. Just steeping my cup of Davids ‘Raspberry Jam’ fruit infusion herbal tea. Beautiful scent, sweet and slightly tart flavor.
