Top 4 Products for Styling a Wavy Lob

So, I recently chopped my hair off.  Eeeeeeeee! I'm not going to lie and say I don't slightly regret it (maybe a 5:1 love to regret ratio), but mostly I just need to get used to it, and practice styling it.  I had hair this length about 3 years ago and I LOVED IT SO MUCH really enjoyed it, so it's really about getting back into that mindset of how to style it, and what products and tools to use as they differ immensely for me (seriously, I took off about 7").  So here are 4 things I use, with a save and splurge version of each... so... actually 8 products, I[...]

My Unicorn Hair Journey {Part 2)

So, I did it.  I booked the appointment, and actually went, and actually did the unicorn hair thing. Instead of taking a month or two to decide if this was the right decision for me, I did the whole thing in 4 days - idea, consult, booking, appointment, expected panic attack, and expected joy. I had another 20-minute consult with my super talented stylist, Maggie, on top of the 2o minutes I spent with her essentially hijacking someone else's appointment (thank you, super chill balayage girl!) and even after all that I was still nervous about how it would tur[...]

My Unicorn Hair Journey (Part 1)

I have dyed my hair every color except jet black and platinum blonde. Do you remember Manic Panic or Fudge temporary hair color? I've done pink, blue, fire-engine red, silver, violet and every shade of brown there is.  It actually cracks me up when I think about all the colors I've done, considering I wasn't allowed to dye my hair until I was 18.  Now, this wasn't about parental control or anything like that, just strong encouragement from my mom to avoid processing my virgin hair because the cost of maintenance was way too much for a teenager.   It's true,[...]
